Vedic Maths: Algebra Simple Equations (Extension of Type – IV)
About the video
This Vedic Math video is for students in class 9 and above. In this video, we will be learning about the concepts of Vedic Math that can be applied in Algebra. We will see an extension of the Type 4 simple equation. Here, we will be dealing with three terms.
Extension of Type 4 (Upto three terms)
Formula: [ m / (x+a) ] + [ n / (x+b) ] + [ p / (x+c)] = 0
In this equation, if we find the value of ‘x’, we will get x equals to [-mbc - nca - pab] / [m(b+c) + n(c+a) + p(a+b)].
The sutra used in this method of finding solutions to simple equations is called “Transpose & Apply” or “परावर्त्य योजयेत्”. The trick here lies in identifying the type of linear equation given and applying the appropriate equation to find the solution of the variable. With the help of this and a few more sutras, we will learn how to find solutions to different types of equations in algebra. Stay tuned to learn the applications of Vedic math in algebra!
