About the video

This method is used to solve multiplication of any 2 digit numbers. This method is derived from the ancient mathematical methods. This method is considered to be one of the easiest methods in multiplication. Children from the age group 7 years and above are easily able to learn this method. This method requires knowledge of some basic addition and tables from number 1 to 10 to learn. There are no other prerequisites required to learn this method. This Vedic Maths trick is very useful in school, maths exams and competitive exams. You need to follow the 3 simple steps. This method is called the ‘Vertically and Crosswise’ method. First, multiply unit digits from both the numbers. If the multiplication is of 2 digits, you need to carry forward tens digit to the next step. Now, multiply crosswise digits and add them. If the total is 2 digits, you need to carry forward tens digit to the next step. In the last step, multiply tens digits and write down the final answer. More you practice, the faster and more accurate you will be. Remember accuracy and speed count in maths, so practice well.
