Revision of Basic Concepts

What is this method? How to use it? 

Double Digit numbers ending with 1 include 21, 31, 41, 51, 61, 71, 81 and 91. To carry out this method, we have to do followingly. Initially ignore the 1 of multiplier. Copy the rightmost digit of the multiplicand as it is. Now, after ignoring 1 of the multiplier, multiply the digits of the multiplicand with the number at Tens place of multiplier. Add the product to the subsequent left digit. From the answer obtained after completing the above steps, drop the rightmost digit. This will be the answer. Repeat the above steps until you reach the leftmost digit of the multiplicand.
