This practice worksheet deals with the Vedic Maths technique that enables one to quickly calculate the cube of any two digit number. Let's revisit!

Cube Numbers 

What is a Cube Number?

A cube number is a number multiplied by itself 3 times. This can also be called 'a number cubed'. The symbol for cubed is ³.   2³ = 2 × 2 × 2 = 8.  

How to calculate the cube of two digit numbers? 

For example, if you want to find the cube of 32. You need to follow the steps below. First of all, mark a total 0f  4 places in the answer. Now, find the cube of 2, it will be 8 and put this 8 at the unit place in the answer. Now, make the square of 2 and multiply it with 3. So, it will be 22 x3 = 12. Put this 12 at tens place. Now, make the square of 3 and multiply it with 2. So, it will be 32 x2 = 18. Put this 18 at hundreds place. Find the cube of 3, it will be 9 and put this 9 at the thousands place in the answer. Make the double of numbers which you got in 2nd and 3rd steps. It will be 24 and 36 respectively. Write down these below tens and hundreds’ places. Now perform simple addition for each place and write down the sum below the numbers. Kindly remember if any of the sum is having 2 digits then you need to write only unit digit in the answer and remaining digits will be the carry to the next summation. After this addition, your final answer will be ready and that is 32768.
