What is Square number?
When a number or integer (not a fraction) is multiplied by itself, the resultant is called a 'Square Number'. For example, 3 multiplied by 3 is equal to 3 x 3 or 32.
How to find the square of any two digit number?
This method of calculating the square of any two digit number has been derived from Vedic Maths sutras. Let’s illustrate - say, you want to find the square of 32. Firstly, you will have to find the square of 2, which will be 4 and put this 4 at the unit place in the answer. Now, multiply both the digits of the number and make double of it. Now, it will be 2(2x3), which is equal to 12. You need to put 2 at tens place in the answer and 1 will be the carry for the 3rd step. Find the square of 3, which will be 9. Now, add the carry 1 which will equal 10. Put this 10 at the hundreds place in the answer and your final answer will be 1024.
