How soon should the student book the TOEFL exam

Students planning to take the TOEFL exam should ideally book their test date at least 2 to 3 months before their earliest admissions deadline. 

This timeframe ensures that the scores will be reported in time for the application process. 

It is important to consider that TOEFL scores take about ten days to be reported online, and the delivery time can vary depending on the location—7-10 days by mail within the United States and up to 4-6 weeks outside the US. 

Since the exam is offered on specific dates throughout the year and test centers may have limited availability, early registration is recommended to secure a convenient test date​
