Bhumija Joshi can be described in many ways, and some of the most commonly used adjectives to describe her are patient, understanding, empathetic and a good listener. All of these have helped her connect well with her students, who she loves teaching and imparting her knowledge. Bhumija completed her Graduation in 2011, with English as one of her major subjects. During her Post Graduation in Psychology in 2013, not only did she pass with distinction, she was also a gold medal recipient. Nonetheless, her love for languages made her pursue a Diploma course in French language. She feels that she caught the passion to teach at a very young age, which is why she commenced her teaching journey very early. She joined a renowned school as an English teacher, and worked there for 7 long years. She is of the opinion that teaching a language is different from teaching any practical subject such as Math or Science. For learning any language like English, one must know the correct pronunciation, the lexicon and the grammar rules to communicate confidently with others. They need to understand what they want to express or say. These can be achieved by regular practice and a good instructor. She also believes that it is important to have good communication and presentation skills in the present day and we should strive to achieve it. She believes that every student is unique and different, and that it is her duty to mould her teaching methodology as per the level of each student.
