About the video

In this tutorial video, we are going to calculate courier rates. Basically, two Excel functions have been used in the example. They are IF and ROUNDUP.  You will learn concept such as complex calculation with conditions here. First, we extract the chargeable weight of each courier. As per rule courier companies charges, the higher weight between actual weight and volumetric weight, the rules of calculating volumetric weight is, (Length X Width X Height / 5000 or 4000). After that, we calculate charges according to both courier companies. For Courier-A chargeable weight gets ROUNDUP and multiplied by 55. For Courier-B there are a little bit complication because charging slab of Courier-B is Rs. 56/-  for 1 Kg, and after that per kg Rs. 44/-. We ROUNDUP the chargeable weight and subtract by 1 then multiplied by Rs. 44/-. So after 1 Kg charges are calculated, after that we add Rs. 56/- to the calculated price for first 1Kg. Finally, we calculate percentage of courier charges with the value of the shipment.
