IELTS Writing Task 2: Direct Question Essay

In writing task 2 you will be asked to write an essay. According to the instructions, you should spend around 40 minutes on this task and write at least 250 words. The time limit and the word limit, both are important, you should finish your writing in time and write a minimum of 250 words. Many candidates fall short of words and write less than 250 words which results in a penalty that lowers their scores. Don’t let that happen to you! The marking will be done based on factors including grammar, vocabulary and the word count of the essay. You will be given a question asking you to give your opinion, discuss a problem or issue. You could also be asked to provide solutions, evaluate a problem, compare and contrast different ideas or challenge an idea. In this video, we will be focusing on how to write a high-level direct question essay.
