PART 2

 Describe your favorite music band.

You should say:

• what's the name of the band and the band members
• for how long you have been listening to their songs
• what some famous songs of this band are
• and explain why you particularly like this music band.

Since I was little, I've been a fan of the music of the Beatles. I have many of the band's tracks even though they are no longer active. And I frequently enjoy listening to their tunes when I have free time. I used to listen to music all day long when I was a student, but I am currently unable to do so because of my business. And I like listening to The Beatles' catchy tunes a lot.

It was founded in England, and afterwards the group had tremendous global success. Following its formation in Liverpool during the 1960s, it became one of the world's most popular music groups. George Harrison, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, and Ringo Starr together made up "The Beatles." The band tried their hand at a variety of musical compositions and found success. It was well known for its unusual musical genres.

There are several well-known songs by The Beatles. The band started pop culture and transformed several song genres. "Tomorrow Never Knows" and "All You Need is Love" are two of the songs that I personally adore the best. All of the tracks were written and tuned differently. Thus, they rose to fame on a global scale.

Moreover, this group is appealing for a variety of reasons. The group has ruled the global rock period. Additionally, I adore The Beatles' musical style. Together, the ensemble has experimented with a variety of musical genres, and the use of classical instruments has resulted in a change in style. Each member of the band is regarded as a legend, which is extremely uncommon for any musical group in history and contributed to the band's financial success. So, I really enjoy this band. I still find inspiration in their music, and it relieves my tension.

Do you think music has an effect on people’s lives? How?

We can benefit from listening to music because it improves our lives. First and foremost, music uplifts people's spirits, brings back fond memories, relieves tension, inspires them, and banishes feelings of isolation and sadness. Additionally, it aids in improving performance and achieving objectives. 

Music can improve moods in a variety of circumstances. Some people think that music can treat bodily ailments like pain. Therefore, music has a significant impact on people's lives.

Which is more important to the young generation in your country- music or TV programmes? Why?

Well, the majority of young people in my nation prefer music to TV shows. They can't or won't watch TV most of the time because they enjoy being outside. But when it comes to music, the situation is different. Even when they travel, play, or commute, they can utilize earbuds to listen to their favorite music. While riding my bike or strolling around the city, I can also listen to music. But I can't just bring my television with me! Furthermore, young people in my nation have a variety of possibilities for choosing their favorite music and listening to it on their own time.

Does music have a relation with dancing? How?

Dancing and music, in my opinion, are closely related. People can be greatly entertained by music on its own, but most of the time dance is incomplete without it. Lyrics make up the music, and dancing is the result of our bodies moving in time to the song. Steps taken while dancing are timed to the music and lyrics, which results in a lovely harmony. In actuality, both dance and music are artistic mediums that combine to generate compositions. Therefore, for many audiences, the lack of music while dancing will make absolutely no sense.

Has the type of music people used to like 20 years ago changed? Why?

As people's habits, upbringing, and education vary through time, so do their musical preferences. People now obviously don't live in the same way or have the same socioeconomic circumstances as they had 20 years ago, and as a result, they like different kinds of music. The genre of music that is currently popular has been reinvented by globalization, technical development, the exploration of new musical instruments, the emergence of satellite TV channels, and FM radio stations. The youthful generation's preference in music has changed as a result of their propensity to follow the most recent musical trends. Thus, in the present day, young people are less drawn to popular music from the 1980s or 1990s.

What changes in terms of young people's choice of music will occur in the next 20 years?

Young people, then, have a significant influence on the future of music and the music business. Actually, the music industry makes efforts to popularize a few already-existing genres or create new genres based on their requests. Therefore, predicting what will happen next is difficult. After 20 years, however, one of two things can happen in terms of young people's musical preferences: either there will be a growth in novel genres for them or they will turn back to the older genres. In reality, creating a brand-new musical genre is a difficult endeavor that few people may dare to take on.

Do you think anyone can be a musician? Why/why not? 

An excellent musician is gifted and dedicated. Additionally, he or she is talented vocally and has a natural musicality. It is impossible for anyone to become a musician since having all of these qualities, together with strict and consistent practice, ensures success. Even with a lot of practice, someone without a decent voice and natural musicality may not succeed in becoming a musician. Contrarily, a talented musician who does not put in a lot of practice will not be successful.
