Question

Describe an invention that has positively changed the world.

When we think about major inventions, most of us jump right to things like the telephone or electricity. And sure, those completely changed the world, but new products and services are being launched every year that also have major impacts. The past decade has seen a significant-tech boom and an increase in products featuring smart technology. 

I would like to take a moment to talk about Instagram, the most famous social media platform because Instagram is an image first app and people are highly responsive to imagery. The photo-sharing app has revolutionised marketing, advertising, public relations, brand building, and journalism. It has given rise to the meme culture and created social media influencers. An app that once was only for images with different filters now has video, ephemeral content, and reels.

Users have always come up with different hashtag ideas to make their pictures stand out in the crowd. Most importantly, it is a platform not only for photographers but also bloggers, writers, stylists, designers, artists, etc. Instagram made a prominent spot by gaining popularity in the shortest period. 

Without a doubt, Instagram is extremely user friendly. The simple interface is easy for new users to understand intuitively, no matter their age. It has achieved billions of users worldwide, especially the fame is crazy among millennials and the new generation. They are invested in taking and uploading pictures of anything and everything. I do use the platform myself and like its features.

In my opinion, it is a very useful platform for connecting with people and gaining information through certified sites. Besides, it offers a lot of wonderful content. It is an omnipotent ocean of limitless content enough to keep almost anyone completely entertained.

How has technology made our life easier?

I think our lives have significantly become more convenient because of technological improvements. With the help of technology, we may drastically minimise our effort and stay away from risky tasks.

For instance, the development of dishwashers, washing machines, and stoves has reduced the amount of time we need to spend on housework. Additionally, we have instant access to a vast amount of knowledge and information.

Which invention do you think is the most useful at home?

It's a tough choice! But I believe that the refrigerator is a crucial invention. Since I enjoy cooking and virtually always prepare food, having a refrigerator at home is crucial for food storage. I don't have to go to the store as frequently because it keeps the food cold and fresh for a few days.

Is it more difficult for old people to accept new technologies?

Yes, I believe so. There are several reasons why some older people struggle with the use of modern technologies. The main cause of this is that some equipment such as computers require a skill set that is completely foreign to individuals who did not grow up in the last few decades. In addition, sometimes the instructions of some electrical devices are in English, and it might be difficult for old people with a different mother tongue to understand and use them.

What can be done to help old people learn to make use of new technologies?

To solve this issue, the younger members of their family would have to be patient and give specific instructions. If older people are frequently encouraged to utilise these technologies in their daily chores, it will be easier for them to educate the elderly how to use and benefit from cell phones or laptops. 

They might be told, for instance, to use Facetime or Skype to conduct video calls to distant relatives or old acquaintances in order to keep in touch and communicate.

Will our life be better if we live without technology?

Honestly,  I find it impossible to picture a world without technology. There isn't a single aspect of our daily life that doesn't involve technology. It is just impossible to escape technology's influence, whether it be positive or detrimental. 

Our daily life would be complicated without technology. We are sometimes so used to exploiting technology advances that we are unaware of how reliant we have gotten on them.

What are the limitations of technology when it comes to interpersonal relationships?

In my opinion, maintaining a positive "interpersonal relationship" is crucial to our welfare as a whole. But technology has greatly diminished our ability to experience emotions.

 In fact, as a result of technological advancements, we have become so busy and "robotic" that we no longer even care to greet our nearest relatives, or  spend meaningful "family time".. Because of this, our personal ties and bonds with our family members, particularly the elderly, and friends are deteriorating, which is unfavourable for the health of our society.
