Answer
Almost everyone dreams of something while growing up. We all have ambitions when we are little, which change as we grow up. I have always had the knack for dancing from an early age. My parents always encouraged me to pursue my passion. Like most of the parents, they never discouraged me because it is not the most sought after career.
It would seem odd to choose to be a dancer as an ambition, especially when everyone is in the race of becoming a lawyer, doctor or an engineer. But, I still believe that just because something is not common, doesn’t mean we cannot attain it. As my parents motivated me to pursue my dream, they enrolled me in dance classes. As I grew up I started dancing in dance schools near my house. It helped me grow a lot as a dancer and also enhanced my skills.
I began to love it more and more, until I got to college and realised that I should have researched the dancer profession a little more. I have found out that there is so much more to being a good dancer. Most professional dancers begin learning the craft between the ages of 5-15. Starting early is important because it can take years to develop the muscle strength and technique needed to turn dance into a profession.
Most importantly, I wish to be a dancer because I want to remove the stigma surrounding this career path. I want to set an example that you can do well in life if you’re not a doctor or engineer. Especially in India, where these two ambitions are considered the most valid. I hope I can achieve this ambition of mine someday.
I am planning to Relocate to a city where entertainment is a major focus, which might offer me more chances to get hired as a professional dancer. Also, I am constantly looking for auditions through newspapers, online job sites and professional dance sites. Till then, I won’t leave any stone unturned in reaching the finish line.
Part 3 Questions
What ambitions do children usually have?
I think children thrive most when they have aspirations to guide their careers along a remarkable growth trajectory. Their primary goal is to have a prosperous career. They dream of becoming a movie star, sports star, air hostess, fashion designer, etc. while they are young.
The desire to acquire a large sum of money in order to lead a lavish lifestyle is another goal shared by youngsters. because they genuinely believe that possessing money would enable them to deal with their immediate concerns.
Why are some people very ambitious in their work?
Some people have a propensity for working with tenacity, devotion, and discipline. Being ambitious, in their view, is the key to success because it brings out the best in them.
On the other hand, when people labour without any ambition, they find their jobs repetitive and dull.
Why don’t some people have dreams?
Some individuals think daydreaming is the same as having dreams. They live in their comfort zones and are motivated to leave those zones by their dreams.
They have this strange propensity for not experiencing dreams because of this. Because having dreams motivates us to put in a lot of effort and pursue accomplishment.
Dreams or ambitions, in my opinion, change with age. Students' goals in school are to enter a reputable university or college. Some young people with an artistic attitude also envision themselves as successful musicians or celebrities.
How do people balance work and life?
People often prioritise things in order to keep a balance between work and life. They then carefully consider their next steps and take well-informed decisions. Additionally, they strive to find solutions to their life's most pressing issues with tenacity, devotion, and discipline. In other words, their clever mindset along with their hard work helps them to maintain a work-life balance.
Should parents interfere with their children’s ambitions?
In my opinion, children would become resentful of their parents if they interfered with their aspirations. The long-term effects on their relationship would be terrible. Indeed, children must be self-sufficient so they must learn from their own mistakes. Moreover, this is children's life, so they should lead it the way they want.
Parents should, in my opinion, encourage their kids to follow their aspirations, but they should also remind them not to put all their eggs in one basket and to retain backup plans.
Tell me about a time when you set yourself a stretching goal and achieved it?
I used to be a big guy two years ago. I intended to lose weight by engaging in physical activity with tenacity, dedication, and discipline because I was afraid of receiving body-shaming. Later on, though, I understood that eating a balanced diet is the key to losing weight.
After that, I made a genuine effort to stick to my diet and began eating all of my meals between 9 am and 7 pm. This mentality caused a paradigm shift in my life, and I dropped 10 kg in just two months.
