Question: Write a letter of grievance to landlord
You and your family are living in a rented accommodation in an English speaking country. You are not satisfied with the condition of some of the furniture. Write a letter to your landlord.
In your letter:
- Introduce yourself
- Explain what is wrong with the furniture
- Say what action you would like the landlord to take
Answer:
Dear Mr. James, I am writing to you regarding the rented accommodation that I and my family are residing in. I want to convey my dissatisfaction with the state of the furniture in your rental property. I have recently shifted to your fully furnished flat no.11 in NorthVille apartments. There have not been any issues so far and we are quite happy with all the rental facilities. However, there are a few concerns with the provided furniture, especially the computer desk, which has got cracks on the surface and I find it unsafe to place my whole computer unit. As I am working from home, I need it to be in good condition for the smooth running of my work schedule. Apart from the desk, I also want to bring to your notice that the children’s beds which were provided are wobbly due to the unsteady wooden plank and torn bedding. I would appreciate your prompt attention to this matter as the mentioned furniture items need immediate replacement. Winter is soon approaching and needless to say, it will be challenging for us to manage our toddlers with such damaged items for our utility. We value your assistance and await your response eagerly.
