Question: Write a letter of grievance to neighbour
You have just moved into a new home and are planning to hold a party. You are worried that the noise may disturb your neighbour. Write a letter to your neighbour. In your letter:
- Introduce yourself
- Describe your plans for the party
- Invite your neighbour to come to the party
Answer:
Dear Mr. Bob, Hope this letter finds you in good health and spirits. I am a new resident in your neighbourhood and the purpose of this letter is to invite you to a housewarming party which I am planning to host, as well as to express my concerns about the noise that might cause some disturbance to you during the event. I work as a sales manager in a reputed bank. I have recently moved into your residential area and this weekend I plan to invite some of my office friends and family members for a small party on our apartment front lawn. I hope to end the party soon, but my friends may play the guitar and some music, and might be noisy. I want to apologise in advance for any disturbance we might cause as I understand that living in close proximity to others means that we must be respectful of their needs and well-being. Moreover, I would like to invite you to this event along with your family, as it would be a wonderful opportunity for us to get acquainted with each other. I guarantee that you will have an amazing time with us. Thank you for your consideration, and hope to see you soon. Best regards, Peter Hanks |
