Part 2:

Describe a person who you believe dresses well. Please tell me

• Who he/she is
• What job he/she does
• What kind of clothes he/she wears
• Explain why he/she likes fashion

Dressing is considered to be one of the most important personality traits of an individual which sets the person apart in a group. Today I am going to talk about one of my favourite teachers from school who I believe has an amazing sense of style and fashion.

The name of this teacher is Ms. Sujata Ganguly and she happened to be my favourite teacher in school. She used to teach us History and English and I must say that she was not only perfect at her job, but also a very humble and caring faculty member. She used to treat us like her own children which reflected in her teaching style and the way she responded to our doubts. She was a popular teacher amongst her students. 

Ms. Sujata has an eclectic fashion sense as she blends classic and contemporary styles that reflect a lot about her personality. She knows how to carry herself well and that is the cherry on the cake.

I have always seen ma’am wearing sarees to school with both traditional as well as modern blouses. Her attention to detail talks about her love for fabrics and different styles. Moreover, her curly hair that’s styled neatly and beautifully, complements her attire exceptionally well.

Additionally, I think that she is quite decent in her attire yet very stylish and elegant. She looks like a showstopper on every occasion. She loves fashion as any modern woman would do and dresses beautifully. Her love for fashion is evident in her creative style and I think that she can team outfits effortlessly and with grace. Overall, I have learned a very important lesson from her, which is that dressing well is such an important attribute for a professional.

• Do you think online shopping will replace in-store shopping in the future? Why?

I feel that both forms of shopping are given equal importance by people and one cannot replace the other. If we talk about in-store shopping, I see that many people prefer to actually visit the stores and shop as they like to touch and feel the products that they buy. Moreover, they also have a notion that shopping from stores would ensure that they get durable products.

On the other hand, online shopping is totally the talk of the town now as there is an altogether different world of shoppers who only like to shop online because of various factors like reasonable prices, curated products, the convenience of time, and so on. Not only this but shopping online also exposes us to a wide variety of products, services, and sources.

• Why is fashion very important to some people?

Fashion holds major importance for people as it helps them express themselves better, gain acceptance in society, demonstrate their belongingness to a certain culture, and enhance their self-esteem and confidence. Moreover, many like to follow different fashion trends as they thoroughly enjoy doing it. Fashion helps one to express oneself artistically as the combination of various fabrics and colours helps to create a good outfit that looks fashionable.

• Are older people as fashionable as young people? Why?

This is an interesting question. I think that fashion trends can widely vary amongst people owing to their different age groups. Some older individuals have a keen sense of style and stay abreast of current fashion trends, while some younger individuals may prefer classic or vintage styles. I think it depends on each individual as to how he or she wants to style himself or herself. For instance, I have observed many senior folks dressing beautifully, challenging the current trends particularly focused on the young generation.

• Are women more fashionable than men? Why?

I believe it would be unfair to point out any particular gender in this case as the fashion industry is evolving to be more inclusive and diverse, recognizing and celebrating a broad spectrum of styles for people of all genders. People are learning to be inclusive and they respect the choice of every individual, irrespective of gender. For instance, men these days like to try out various forms of clothing and experiment with a variety of outfits, which is in turn appreciated by others. Similarly, women’s fashion choices are also respected.
