Talk about someone you recently met and want to know more about. Please tell me

• Who he or she is
• When you met him or her
• Why do you want to know more about him or her?

Answer:

From time to time we meet different people who leave an indelible impression on us. I too came across one such special individual recently. He is the head of the technology department at my workplace. I met him a month ago when he visited the office for a meeting. Usually, he works from home as he lives in a different state but whenever there is a priority project, which requires personal attention, he visits the office. Being a part of the content team, I was working on the website content, which was a priority project for the company. I wanted to know more about this person as he is extremely insightful and a subject matter expert when it comes to the world of tech. His profound knowledge and expertise have brought a lot of success to the company. In addition to this, a majority of our clients rely on his hard work for the successful execution of different projects. I was amazed by the dedication and leadership he brought to the table even in challenging situations. Working on this project enriched me with a great amount of learning and growth. Given a chance, I would like to know more about this person as it would be a great opportunity to gain thoughtful insights from such a leader. He not only brings positivity wherever he goes but also has a clear vision of how things need to be. Whenever he comes to the office, everyone benefits as he offers genuine guidance and boosts the team spirit. I hope to work with him again on upcoming projects and learn how to handle challenging tasks at the workplace. To encapsulate, meeting this person has changed my outlook on how we should work and complete projects effectively even when we are working under the pressure of a deadline.    

Part 3:

• How do people make friends in your country?

People in my country love to socialize and make friends in any given situation. In my opinion, people build friendships at get-togethers, birthday parties, or any kind of social event. These events act as a great opportunity to build friendships and connections. For instance, last month I went to the monthly office party and I got to know a few of my colleagues who I previously never interacted with. Eventually, I ended up becoming great friends with them.

• Under what circumstances do people usually make friends?

There can be numerous situations where an individual might make friends. One of the situations can be where a person needs some sort of help or information from the other person. A lot of times, people get acquainted in this way and end up becoming good friends. On the other hand, sometimes, people make friends because of their mutual connections at the workplace or in their neighborhood.

• Is it important to have the same hobbies and interests as your peers?

I don’t think it’s necessary to have similar leisure activity interests as our peers. Each person has distinct interests and choices which we should respect. In fact, having different interests allows people to talk about more topics on a day-to-day basis. As a result, people get to learn a lot when they share their unique experiences with one another. For instance, I am an avid reader and I often share book reviews with my peers one of my closest friends is a tennis player and she recently taught me how to play tennis. It allows us to share our unique insights and we get to know more about each other's interests in the process.  

• What qualities make true friends?

There are numerous attributes that result in a deep and pure friendship. One of the most essential qualities is to be understanding towards each other and be open to helping one another in times of need. Another value that I believe is of paramount importance is honesty, as to build a true friendship, one needs to be honest with the other person. Finally, one should always have mutual respect for one another to foster meaningful friendships.
