What is your name?

My name is Yakshi Dhamija. You can address me by my first name, Yakshi. 

Where do you live?

I live in a metropolitan city known as Gurgaon. It’s in the northern part of India. It’s very well known for its corporate culture and the opportunities it has to offer young individuals. It’s a great city to be living in. 

How long have you been living there?

I have been living here for two years now. I shifted here in 2022 when I got my first job. Before that, I lived with my parents in my hometown.  

Why did you move there?

I shifted to Gurgaon for my professional growth as it has ample opportunities for young people. I remember, I had just finished college when I got a job here, which is why I had to relocate. 

Do you plan to move to a bigger home in the future? Why or why not?

Yes, I do have plans to shift into my own house in the future because it offers one more privacy and a sense of security. I believe it allows one to experience more comfort as compared to living in a rented apartment. Moreover, I think it’s everyone’s goal to have a house of their own in their lifetime. 

What do you like about your current home?

I really admire the security system of my current apartment as all the residents have a security key card,which they use to enter the building. It eliminates the chances of any unknown person entering the building. In addition to that, there is a lift and a corridor in front of each apartment which makes it extremely convenient.

Why do people nowadays like to live in bigger homes?

I think individuals like to live a comfortable and luxurious life, which often comes by living in a spacious environment. Moreover, a bigger home allows one to comfortably spend time with one’s loved ones. For instance, if you have a joint family, it’s more comfortable to live in a bigger house rather than a small two bedroom apartment. 

Are there any disadvantages to living in a bigger home?

Well, according to me, there aren’t many disadvantages of living in a bigger home. I believe that it can just get a little bit difficult to manage a bigger place in terms of cleaning and organising because you have to maintain all the rooms well. Along with it, you might have to buy a lot of stuff for your house from time to time, to keep it well maintained.
