In 1972, the bookseller's sales were evenly distributed across different genres. Others led the pack with a 25% share, followed closely by adult fiction, children's fiction, and biography, each accounting for 20% of the total sales, while travel followed at 15%. By 1992, adult fiction had experienced a 5% increase in sales, while both others and biography had declined by the same margin. Travel and children's fiction experienced modest growth, with 3% and 2% increases respectively.
