Part 2:

Talk about someone you like to spend time with. Please tell me

Answer:

In all our lives, we meet tons of people, become great friends with some of them, and end up spending a lot of time in each other's company. I have one such friend with whom I love to spend time. Her name is Tusya and she has been my best friend since childhood. As far as my recollection goes,  we met when we were schoolgoers. I met her when she shifted to my society and we instantly became friends as we used to play together in the evening. Growing up, our friendship became much deeper and eventually, we became best friends. Whenever we hang out, we end up having a whale of a time, even if it’s just sitting together on a park bench. We do a lot of activities together on a daily basis. For instance, we go for a stroll in the evening when I get free from my classes and we talk about each other’s day. She tells me all about her day in college and I tell her about my work. Furthermore, we occasionally go shopping together and sometimes, to an event in which both of us are interested. Being close with each other over the years has allowed us to be a part of each other’s family functions as well. We often visit different exhibitions which are held in my hometown. I love spending time with her and we jump up with joy whenever we see each other. Also, we help each other out whenever one of us is in trouble or is facing any difficult situation. The best part about our friendship is that we laugh a lot whenever we meet and enjoy spending time with each other. To encapsulate, she is one of my closest friends with whom I like to spend my time. I am glad to have a true friend and hope I’ll be able to cherish this friendship forever.

• What kind of people are easier to get along with?

People who are emotionally mature are easier to be friends with. People who understand you as a grown-up and respond with emotional maturity are easier to bond with. For instance, as adults, everyone has hectic schedules because of work and daily chores. In the midst of it all, people who understand you and don't make unreasonable demands are the best. Also, we can sometimes get along with people who have great communication skills as they keep the conversation going.

• What kind of people are difficult to get along with?

I think people who have communication issues are the toughest to get along with. If someone isn’t clear with you about their opinion or their situation, it can cause difficulties in bonding. Another habit that can be detrimental to forming good relationships is when people are not considerate towards the other person’s perspective. It not only causes miscommunication but also risks friendship.  

• Do people nowadays have enough time for socialization?

On the one hand, people’s lives have become extremely hectic in today’s jet-paced society as they are busy with their work and daily chores. Due to this, people have hardly any time to socialize or even make plans to meet one another. On the other hand, people do make time to socialize when they have a holiday or on the weekends. For instance, working professionals work hard on the weekdays, and on the weekends, they spend time with their family and friends so that they can socialize.

• Does technology make it easier to connect with friends and family?

Definitely, with the advancement of technology, people have gained the ability to connect with their near and dear ones more easily. Social media applications allow individuals to text or call any person, no matter how far they live. To elaborate, Whatsapp allows you to make voice calls and video calls over the internet. It therefore helps family members to stay in touch with each other, despite geographical distances. Undoubtedly, the internet has provided a solid platform for people to connect with one another.
