It is evident from the graph that the salaries for males in the year 1946 were higher as compared to female salaries, whereas the salaries for both genders show marginal disparity for the year 2014. Also, the annual salaries for these two years differ exponentially as the highest annual wages in 1946 were $14,601 – over $17,400 whereas “$80,000 and over” for 2014.
Maximum women (39%) earned less than $7,500 - $8,200 in the year 1946 although 31% of the males earned their maximum annual wages between $14,601 – over $17,400. A marginal difference of 5% was seen in salaries for both genders who earned between $9,901 and $12,000 for the same year.
